Highest Placed State school in the National Netball Finals
HIGHAM Lane's Year 9 squad returned from the recent Eteach.com National Netball Finals with their heads held high after recording the School's highest-ever finish in the prestigious event.
They won six of the eight games in their section - all against private school opposition - missing out on a lucrative semi-final place by a solitary goal. A draw, intead of an 11-10 defeat in one of the games, would have seen the Under-14 team progress into the last four.
However, the girls returned home from the Sounthampton Outdoor Sports Centre ranked fifth best netball team in England and top placed State School !
This is the eighth time Higham Lane has reached the annual National Netball Finals, the previous best finish having been eighth.
Delighted coach, Mrs Davies, said: "It was a fantastic weekend, with great parental support, and the girls were a credit to themselves, their parents and the School.
"This is the culmination of three years' hard work and the girls have been really committed, sometimes training four times a week and turning up for evening matches.
"All the squad played at some stage in the competition, and they all rose to the challenge of very strong competition, and they all rose to the challenge of very strong competition."
A huge thank-you is extended by the School to Nuneaton based company Advanced Diagnostics who sponsorship of clothing and bags ensure the girls looked the part on the day.
Weddington Thistle Girls Under 10's.
With woman’s football growing at a fast rate, a number of teams have been established to provide girls the opportunity of playing football.
Advanced Diagnostics Ltd are proud to be the tracksuit sponsors of Weddington Thistle Girls Under 10's who will be playing in a number of tournaments over the year.
Weddington Thistles are an established club providing many youngsters the opportunity of playing football.
Many thanks for your sponsorship of the tracksuits for the Girls Under 10's team. The tracksuits have given them a collective identity, as this is their first year of being together. This has been particularly noticeable at the recent tournaments when they can easily identify a 'team mate', and as you will see on the photo the girls are enjoying their football and feel proud that they look like a professional team.

Stockingford AA Juniors Under 9's
Advanced Diagnostics Ltd are proud to be the kit sponsors of Stockingford AA Juniors Under 9's for the forthcoming 2004/2005 season where the team will play in the competitive Nuneaton Mini League.
Stockingford AA are one of the Nuneaton's leading football clubs and have been established for many years where they have plied their trade in the Coventry Alliance, before more recently moving to the more challenging Midland Combination.
More commonly known as "The Cabbage", they are based at the Pavilion Club in Stockingford Nuneaton. The Junior section was established two seasons ago when the current Under 15 side moved from another club within the town. The Under 11 side started at the beginning of last season and the Under 9's are the third addition and they are continually looking to grow the club at all other available age groups.
It is hoped that with the support of Advanced Diagnostics, the Under 9's will continue with the success story of the other two teams who both achieve league and cup doubles in the 2003/2004 season. They will certainly look the part when they run out for their first league fixture in September in their new stylish kit with the company's logo printed upon it.
The club have also recently been awarded The FA Charter Standard which is a quality accreditation given by the Football Association for clubs who meet recognized standards.
 
Nuneaton Knights Basketball Team
Advanced Diagnostics Ltd continue to support the local community by sponsoring Nuneaton Basketball Club who are based at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.Nuneaton's Basketball club have been established for many years where they have competed in both the Warwickshire league and the West Midlands Premier division. The senior team, Nuneaton Knights’ with most of the team now ‘advanced’ in their years, compete in the Warwickshire men’s division 2 league, which is still fiercely competitive and despite a number of younger teams, the experience of these players has resulted in them winning the division twice out of the past 4 years and currently leading the table in the 2009/10 season….who says age slows you down!! A under 16’s team has also been established to provide youngsters with the opportunity to develop skills in a sport that is not offered in many schools today. It is hoped that these youngsters can enter into tournaments themselves as well feeding into the senior team, ensuring Basketball in Nuneaton continues for many years.
